Asheville Experiences

Asheville is that type of unique, special place that lingers sweetly in your mind and memories for years to come. The city's rich architectural legacy with its mix of Art Deco, Beaux Arts and Neoclassical styles is the perfect retro-urban backdrop to the edgy energy that emanates from the locally owned-shops and art galleries, distinctive restaurants and exciting entertainment venues.

Below is a small selection of the tours we can organise for you when you have booked your USA holiday with us and are visiting Asheville.

The Botanical Gardens at Asheville is dedicated to the study and promotion of the plants and habitats of the Southern Appalachians. Native plant landscaping drastically enriches the environment;  creates wildlife-friendly habitats; and reduces dependence on chemical fertilizers, mowing and watering. For 62 years, the Botanical Gardens has served the community with the passion to preserve native plants and be a unique haven in the heart of our city.

Botanical Gardens at Asheville Highlights

  • Free admission and parking
  • Open daily from sunrise to sunset
  • Adult wildlife and nature classes
  • Picnic benches and tables are located within the gardens

The Museum invites you to explore our outstanding Collection of American art of the 20th and 21st centuries and to discover the richness of Western North Carolina’s unique artistic history. The mission of the institute is to engage, enlighten, and inspire individuals and enrich community through dynamic experiences in American art.

Established by artists and incorporated in 1948, the Museum is committed to being a vital force in community and individual development and to providing lifelong opportunities for education and enrichment through the visual arts.

The Western North Carolina Nature Center connects people with the animals and plants of the Southern Appalachian Mountain region by inspiring appreciation, nurturing understanding, and advancing conservation of the region’s rich biodiversity.

Today, the Nature Center is one of the primary facilities in Western North Carolina offering school children and adults opportunities to learn about and develop an understanding of their responsibility for this area’s native wildlife and habitats. The WNC Nature Center is home to sixty species of wild and domestic animals and hundreds of species of plants, all representative of this unique bioregion, the Southern Appalachians.

Duration: 2-3 Hours

Take flight on an Asheville Zipline Canopy Tour just minutes from downtown Asheville, yet surprisingly set amongst 150+ year old majestic white and red oaks. Asheville Zipline Canopy Adventures offers the best of many worlds. It is convenient and exciting with 1,200-foot side-by-side ziplines.  It is urban with views of downtown Asheville. And it is set on a 124-acre resort and designated tree preserve perched in and amongst some of the oldest and largest oak trees in Asheville. “Flyers” will see scenic mountain views and be flying through tree-lined corridors as well as enjoying spectacular views of the Asheville skyline.

Asheville Treetops Adventure Park, an exciting Asheville attraction,  is an aerial challenge course in the trees that has over 77 unique climbing, rolling, walking, jumping, swinging, and rappelling challenges anchored to over 30 trees and towering poles tucked into a wooded park for ages 4 and over. These challenge elements are divided into 7 different aerial adventure trails ranging from beginner to challenging levels.  There are several elements that are representative of the activities you can do in North Carolina including a sky kayak, a parkway tunnel, a snowboard in the sky, swinging hula hoops, bumper boats and a zip hang glider, all in the trees that make this a “Truly Asheville Adventure.”

Part of the Adventure Center of Asheville is a bicycle experience called Kolo Bike Park. This popular Asheville Mountain Biking experience offers 4 miles of purpose-built mountain bike trails and features on rolling terrain. We like to think of it as a mountain bike sampler-pack.

The park is designed for all rider levels. Whether you’re just learning, taking it easy, or looking to push your edge a bit – you’ll find a taste of it at Kolo Bike Park. All of the trails and features at Kolo Bike Park are designed to be progressive. That means there are multiple ways to ride them depending on your skill level. This encourages developing riders to advance their skills in a controlled environment.

Duration: 1.5 Hours
