Canalta Lodge Location

Whether you are just passing through or staying for an extended period, the hotel’s location affords everyone many opportunities to enjoy the myriad of fun and interesting cultural and tourism-oriented activities in the Banff area and Rockies Region. It is a short 10-minute stroll along wide paved sidewalks to the downtown Banff shopping and dining area as well as many more Banff area attractions. The Canalta Lodge is close to Banff National Park Information Centre, Cave and Basin National Historic Site, and Banff Lake Louise Tourism Bureau. Also nearby is Canada House Gallery. There are public transport and taxi services available as well. 

Canalta Lodge Accommodations 

The Spruce Grove Inn features 120 spacious guestrooms in a three-storey structure. Of the 120 guestrooms, 91 feature 2-queen beds, 5 rooms feature 1-queen bed, 19 feature 1-king bed (including 3 loft suites), the remainder are a mix of suites for families and some with in-room Jacuzzi tubs.

Double Queen Jacuzzi Loft Suite – This spacious suite features an in-room Jacuzzi to relax in after a long day exploring all that Banff has to offer. It is situated on two levels with a separate living room that has a fireplace and a wet bar with a sink. The couch has a pull-out bed as well, so there is plenty of room for everyone.

Canalta Lodge Amenities & Services 

The Spruce Grove Inn offers the following amenities and services to all guests. The Canalta Lodge is located right beside the Banff Voyager Inn. Both properties are connected via an underground walkway should guests not wish to brave the walk outside in the colder months. As such, all of the facilities are located in the Banff Voyager Inn and shared by both properties.

Canalta Lodge Dining 

Mountain Home Smokehouse Grill - Tantalize your taste buds at Banff's newest restaurant at the Banff Voyager Inn. Located on-site, the chefs prepare smoked and cured products in-house, including baby back ribs with 4 unique barbeque sauces, German style pork loin or beef brisket over apple and hickory that have been cooked to perfection over hours. Opening hours: breakfast from 6:30 to 11am and dinner from 5:30 to 9pm. 
 
Voyageur Lounge - Located off-lobby next door in the Banff Voyager Inn. It is adjacent to the restaurant. This intimate and casual room offers a cosy place to relax and unwind. Nothing tastes better than an ice cold beverage after a long day up at the ski hill or after hiking around in the glorious sunshine during the summer months. Opening hours: 12 pm to 2 am. 
 
Liquor Store - The Canalta Lodge's liquor outlet is located off-lobby next door in the Banff Voyager Inn. This fully licensed store offers a great range of both domestic and imported beers, wines and spirits at affordable prices. Opening hours: 12 - 10pm. 

Canalta Lodge Pool/Sauna/Jacuzzi

The Canalta Lodge's swimming pool is located next door at the Banff Voyager Inn. This outdoor heated pool is open year-round. The large pool deck and accompanying deck chairs allows ample opportunities for sunbathing and relaxing while gazing at the majestic Rocky Mountains surrounding Banff.  
 
The indoor Jacuzzi and dry sauna with men’s and women’s change rooms are located off the lower main corridor with access to the pool via a small stairwell and security door. Guestroom keys are required for access. Opening times: 10 am - 10 pm.
