Wickaninnish Inn, Tofino

The Wickaninnish Inn offers direct access to Chesterman Beach, and panoramic ocean or beach views from every guest room. The Inn has 75 deluxe guest rooms and suites (with fireplace, soaker tub and individual balcony), and a 720 sq. ft. meeting/banquet room (accommodating up to 60 people). The Pointe Restaurant seats 75 and the full-service Ancient Cedars Spa is a destination spa offering extensive body and esthetic treatments.
 The Wickaninnish Inn story begins way back in 1955, and is closely tied to the modern-day history of Tofino and the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, and of course to the popular draw of Tofino winter storm watching.

The Lookout Library at Wickaninnish-on-the-Beach is home to historic artifacts, the dvd library, a computer terminal, and dramatic Chesterman Beach views. Try your hand at the entertaining and tormenting (you have been warned) Stave Puzzles.
 
Henry Nolla's Carving Shed borders the beach and old-growth forest, carrying on the traditional First Nations techniques used by the late master throughout the Inn - if you see the "Open" sign, come in and see what wood carvers Lyne Des Rosiers and "Feather" George Yearsley are creating!
 
Walk Chesterman Beach and admire the West Coast architecture of its homes. If you find the Inn is barely visible from the beach, consider it mission accomplished for us - a subtle exterior presence amidst the natural beauty of the beach.
 
Sample the West Coast's lush temperate rainforest right here at the Inn on our Rainforest Beach Loop Trail, a ten-minute path just steps away from your room or suite! Of course, if want to keep up your fitness routine inside, you're invited to use our Fitness Centre in Wickaninnish-On-the-Beach.

Canopy Suite

If you're feeling positively romantic, consider the Canopy Suite - the Inn's ultimate accommodation in our Wickaninnish-on-the-Beach Building. The panoramic Tofino view of Chesterman Beach is stunning through floor-to-ceiling windows that stretch right across the room, including the bathroom. Featuring a King-sized bed with canopy, living room area, wet bar, fireplace, spacious slate-tiled individual balcony and an amazing bathroom with heated tile flooring, side-by-side double soaker bathtub as well as a multi-jet shower for two.
 

Chesterman Beach Loft

Home sweet home! These split-level loft suites in our Wickaninnish-on-the-Beach building feature a King- sized bed complete with spacious bathroom (with heated tile flooring and double soaker tub) on the upper level. On the main floor of this luxury accommodation are all the comforts of home: casual gourmet kitchen, dining area and living room with Queen convertible sofabed, convenient half bathroom, and beach-to-ocean from everywhere, even the kitchen!
Speaking of the kitchen, no need to fuss, with 48 hours notice we can ensure your fridge is stocked in advance of your arrival, or for an extra special dining experience, arrange for a chef from our award-winning culinary brigade to cook for you. Please allow at least 72 hours notice to confirm the chef’s availability based on event bookings.

Frank Island Suite

Frankly, you'll be impressed. Named for the rocky islands at the mid point of Chesterman Beach, these are full one-bedroom suites in our Wickaninnish-on-the-Beach building with King-sized bed, generous bathroom featuring heated tile flooring and double soaker tub, a gas fireplace in the bedroom, a cozy living room area with double sofabed and individual balcony, all with views of the Chesterman Beach surf and the ocean waves rolling in. A cushioned reading bench is perfectly situated to enjoy the morning and early afternoon sunshine while sneaking the occasional ocean view over a good book.

Beachcomber Suite

Our Beachcomber Suites in our Wickaninnish-on-the-Beach building offer a similar configuration to the Frank Island Suites but with a little more of the old-growth forest framing the beach-to-ocean views. It too offers a generous bathroom featuring heated tile flooring and double soaker tub with views down Chesterman Beach. Of course, the gas fireplace in the bedroom, Queen sofabed and individual balcony are also part of the package. In place of the reading bench, as in the Frank Island Suite, there is a full wet bar arrangement.

Beach Deluxe Rooms

Allow the rainforest framed views of Pacific Ocean waves rolling onto sandy Chesterman Beach to sink in as you soak in your double soaker tub, sip a glass of BC wine on your balcony, or lounge by the fireplace.

You and your canine companion will be comfy in a pet-friendly room (upon request and availability at time of reservation), furnished with special doggy amenities. Premier Room

These three corner rooms provide the ultimate West Coast perspective. Located on the corner of the South and West wings of our Wickaninnish-at-the-Pointe building, each presents a spectacular two-directional ocean view with four large windows looking west and south. These accommodations feature a King-sized bed, heated bathroom flooring, double soaker bathtub with its own view (limited on the first floor), fireplace and generous slate-tiled balcony to further enjoy the cool Pacific Ocean breeze.

Pointe West Deluxe Rooms

Ideal for viewing West Coast sunsets and our rugged shore, these rooms face Secret Cove – watch waves crash against this surge channel during a winter storm!
