Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador

Rocky Harbour is located on the west coast of Newfoundland in the heart of Gros Morne National Park.
Rocky Harbour is the largest community in the Park and is ideally situated for touring the World Heritage Site.

The town’s history has been closely linked with fishing and the wood industry, yet the town of Rocky Harbour has grown into a tourism community.

Because of our strategic location in Gros Morne National Park, you can use Rocky Harbour as your home base as you take in the many cultural and scenic attractions that are available in this area.

The town is located between two prominent landmarks – Salmon Point and Lobster Cove Head. Those landmarks are located at the northern entrance to beautiful Bonne Bay. The town gets its name from the reef of rocks at the entrance to the harbour.

The town consists of six major areas which spread all around the harbour.
Lobster Cove
Woody Cove
Bear Cove
Bottom Cove
Rocky Harbour Cove
Rocky Harbour Pond
