Trespassey, Newfoundland and Labrador

The town of Trepassey is located on the south-eastern tip of Newfoundland and Labrador's Avalon Peninsula, midway along the scenic Irish Loop Drive, approximately two hours from the province's capital city, St. John's.

Trepassey's rich history is closely linked to the fishing industry, however it's also known for being the starting point for early transatlantic flights, including that of Amelia Earhart in 1928 when she became the first woman to cross the Atlantic.

Situated around the edge of a sheltered deep water bay, Trepassey has long been an important hub for surrounding communities, providing a variety of services and employment opportunities. The area is also a popular base for the hunting game birds such as the willow ptarmigan and for salmon and trout fishing expeditions. There are three excellent rivers in this area - Northeast Brook, Northwest Brook, and Biscay Bay River.

Trepassey offers a quiet lifestyle, but with plenty of conveniences right at your fingertips. It's a place where neighbours participate together in community activities and are quick to offer help and friendship.
