Lodge Facilities
A luxury New Zealand lodge near Abel Tasman National Park, Nelson Region. The Resurgence is a destination in its own right. Set in the delightful Riwaka Valley, in 20 hectares (50 acres) of bush. You are surrounded by native birds and tranquility. There is no road noise and no other buildings in sight.

With 5km of walking tracks, divine massages & therapies, a swimming pool, hot tub, infra-red sauna, gym & yoga area, bikes and games there is always plenty to do; or just relax with a book and a glass of sauvignon blanc.

Evenings at New Zealand’s Luxury Lodges are special occasions. At The Resurgence we are reknown for our relaxed dinner-party style where guests share good food, stories and many laughs. Join your Hosts and fellow dinner-guests at 7pm for a glass of Nelson wine and the chef's daily 'amuse bouche'.

Served dinner-party style in the lodge's dining room, daily menus are executed by our head chef, Ernst Hoekstra, to feature fresh local produce and organic vegetables from the lodge's kitchen garden all cooked with passion. Peter has selected the best wines from the Nelson region to compliment our dinner menus.

Relax in the hot tub or take a refreshing swim in our spring-water pool.

Gym & yoga area
We have a gym with a spin bike, water rowing machine, multi-trainer plus free-weights, mats, swiss ball etc. There is a separate space for yoga and aerobics plus DVDs & TV to help motivate you.

Mountain bikes & 5km of hiking trails
We also offer free use of our mountain bikes, to explore our 5km of walking / cycling / jogging tracks or take a 1 hour walk to the resurgence; many native birds will keep you company along the way
