Wyoming Holidays

Wyoming is a western U.S. state defined by vast plains and the Rocky Mountains. Its famed Yellowstone National Park, a nearly 3,500-sq.-mile wilderness recreation area, is home to hundreds of animal species, dramatic canyons and alpine rivers. The park's gushing geysers include the iconic Old Faithful. To the south is Grand Teton National Park, known for backcountry skiing areas, forested trails and Snake River.

One of the best things about Wyoming is the wide open, seemingly endless landscape in all directions. 98,000 square miles of possibility mean the routes to get to your destination are endless and a Wyoming road trip is the perfect way to see everything that the state has to offer. If you're looking for a place to start, we've mapped some popular routes that make up the four regions of Wyoming. These regions are Salt to Stone, Rockies to Tetons, Park to Park and Black to Yellow. Use these routes to find the perfect route to Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks from different surrounding areas.

Wyoming is broken into four regions, all of which travel toward the state's northwest corner, which is home to Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks. These regions are meant to guide you through parts of the state that shouldn't be missed, including national forests, state parks, mountain ranges, historical sites and more.

SALT TO STONE Welcoming towns and stretches of unscathed wilderness make the Salt to Stone region a colourful Adventureland waiting to be discovered.

ROCKIES TO TETONS The Rockies to Tetons region provides recreational and historical activities along a path between two of the most iconic mountain ranges in the United States.

PARK TO PARK Stretch your legs on historic trails through the heart of Wyoming and learn about the dinosaurs that trekked the Bighorn Basin in the Park to Park region.

BLACK TO YELLOW Detours through Wyoming’s Black Hills National Forest, Devils Tower National Monument and Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area are encouraged in the Black to Yellow region.
