Holiday Overview

Few things are more Canadian than a canoe trip through the thick boreal forests of the Canadian Shield. Algonquin Provincial Park, located just three hours from Toronto, covers 7,000 square kilometres of prime wilderness. The Park is world renowned for its waterways and abundant wildlife. The campsites are spectacular. If we are lucky – we might catch sight of a large moose or hear a pack of wolves howl under the full moon!

These three-day experiences feature camping accommodation. Group size is limited to eight guests and a Voyageur Quest guide who prepares delicious meals allowing you to put up your feet after an invigorating day on the trail. These three-day trips leave every Monday and Friday.

The perfect addition to any Ontario Holidays! Speak to our Canada experts to find out more.

Day 1 - Toronto to Algonquin National Park

A 7:45am pick up in downtown Toronto takes you to the northwest corner of Algonquin National Park. After an orientation, brief lesson and lunch, canoe across the lake and into Algonquin Park. Along the way learn how to paddle, portage and swim in the clean freshwater. Set up camp on a scenic point covered in Red Pine and enjoy your first meal and campfire. Lying in your tent, nod off to the sound of the west wind whistling high above.

Day 2 - Algonquin National Park

After a tasty breakfast, break camp and paddle east through a series of classic Algonquin Park lakes. A floating lunch gives you the energy to paddle up a bog where you have a great opportunity to see beavers, great blue herons and moose. The final stop is at a beautiful lake where you have the afternoon to hike, swim, and fish or take a siesta! Enjoy fresh baked bannock cooked over the fire and listen to legends and myths of travelling through the Canadian wilderness.
