Bali & Komodo

Day 1 - Bali

Arrive at Bali airport; meet and greet with a guide and transfer to Ubud for the night.

Day 2 - Bali

After breakfast you will be collected from the hotel lobby and transferred to the Mask Maker in Mas village and meet with the artist. Afterwards proceed to Blahbatuh to visit the Ubud Sudi Dancing School, see the students practice Balinese dancing and you also can join in and try a traditional dance. Continue the trip by visiting Puri Saren Ubud (Ubud Palace) and Ubud Traditional Market.

Lunch will be served at The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah.

Day 3 - Bali

Visit the Taman Ayun temple, established by a king of the Mengwi Empire to symbolize the abode of the gods, Mt Meru. The temple stands on an island in the middle of a river, and the grounds are filled with fountains, statues and plants: its name literally means 'beautiful garden'. Continue the trip to Jatiluwih and enjoying the panoramic view of the rice terraces as well as the surrounding villages. Take some picture while walking through the fascinating landscape. Take a visit to Besi Kalong temple and afterwards drive to Puri Taman Sari to for lunch.

Day 4 - Bali - Komodo

After an early breakfast transfer from hotel to Airport for flight to Labuan Bajo (GA7036 08:55 – 09:55)  Upon arrival at Labuan Bajo, you will be picked by the Plataran staff from the airport and transferred to the boat. You will then cruise to Rinca Island. On arrival, disembark and head to ranger station. Take a short trek to see the Komodo Dragon with a park ranger. You may adjust your time on the trekking with the ranger appropriately. Once finished, go back to boat and sail to Kalong Island. The island is known as the “house” of thousand bats. If you are lucky enough, you will see thousands of bats flying out from their nest looking for food. (Lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and overnight on boat).

Day 5 - Komodo National Park

This morning arrive at Padar Island. On arrival trekking to the hilltop for the one of the best views in Komodo Park. After trekking, the boat will sail to Komodo Island. After breakfast go ashore to the ranger house of Komodo Island. Have a walk and take a closer look at the Legendary Komodo Dragons.  Besides dragons you can also see other animals such as deer, wild boar and birds. Afterwards enjoy snorkeling and relaxing at the world heritage site of Pink Beach (Pantai Merah). Finally, transfer to your hotel the night.

Day 6 - Komodo - Bali

Enjoy a relaxed morning before your transfer and return flight to Bali (GA7037 13:00 –14:00) Upon arrival in Bali, transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7 - Bali

After breakfast be collected from the hotel lobby and proceed to Bongkasa to take a cooking class combined with a cycling trail. Start with the cycle, approximately two and a half hours and an extended route can be created by venturing into the surrounding village. The best time of the day to use the trail is early morning before the heat of the day sets in. It passes some of the very best scenery that the island of Bali has to offer including a gentle river valley and areas of lush greenery. Take a break and enjoy you lunch at a local house. Continue to the Balinese Kitchen area called ‘Paon’, you will experience picking spices from the garden, preparing the ingredients and cooking with the supervision of the locals. Afterwards, transfer back to your hotel where the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 8 - Bali

Experience an interactive tour of Think Global Act Local where you will learn about environmental issues via hands on workshops such as paper recycling, natural dyes & traditional weaving, soap upcycling and companion planting. All guest will receive an Eco Passport, a naturally dyed bandana/bracelet, and a piece of upcycled soap.  In the evening, you will be transferred to have dinner at Samabe Beach Cave.

Day 9 - Bali

Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure.

Today your tour concludes with a transfer to the airport.
