Day 1 - Fly to Toronto

Fly to Toronto and transfer to your first hotel in Niagara Falls for a two-night stay. Enjoy your first glimpse of one of the world's greatest natural wonders. The colourful, relaxed resort that has grown up next to the Falls offers a host of diversions, and you'll find many restaurants, bars and shops in addition to the magnetic, mesmerising draw of the roaring waters.

Day 2 - Take in the views of the Niagara Falls

Spend an unforgettable day in Niagara Falls. Board the Hornblower Niagara cruise (payable locally) for a spray-soaked passage close to the foot of the torrent, and perhaps join us for lunch with a view at the Sheraton on the Falls Penthouse Fallsview Dining Room. Later, explore the attractions of Clifton Hill or stroll up to the Fallsview area, with its impressive casino.

Day 3 - Visit Niagara-on-the-Lake and continue to Toronto

This morning, enjoy stunning views on an optional 10-minute helicopter ride over the Fall. Afterwards, we'll travel the short distance to Toronto, on the shores of Lake Ontario, via the historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. In the afternoon, join our optional guided tour for an insight into Canada's largest city and its highlights - Chinatown, Victorian Cabbagetown and stylish Yorkville.

Day 4 - Get to know Toronto

Step outside to explore Toronto, today. See its glittering waterfront and its sky-piercing CN Tower or wander the city's contrasting neighbourhoods, including Chinatown and Little Italy. Alternatively, remain in the climate-controlled comfort of the city's 11-kilometre PATH interconnected shopping and entertainment system.

Day 5 - Travel past Lake Ontario to Ottawa

This morning we follow the Maple Leaf Trail along the shores of Lake Ontario to beautiful Kingston. After a break, continue to romantic Ottawa, Canada's beautiful administrative capital, with its Victorian houses and famous Rideau Canal.

Day 6 - Explore Ottawa and travel to Quebec City

After a relaxed morning and the chance to explore elegant Ottawa, re-board the coach and journey to historic Québec City for a two-night stay in the heart of the city.

Day 7 - See the sights of Quebec City

Today, you're free to explore Québec City, one of Canada's oldest settlements. You'll have the chance to join an optional guided city tour before exploring the narrow, cobbled alleyways of the lower Basse Ville and its upper Haute Ville counterpart, which together form endlessly enthralling, UNESCO-listed Vieux-Québec, a district dominated by the monumental Citadelle and the Château Frontenac hotel.

Day 8 - Travel to Montreal

Check out and travel to Montreal, where you can choose between joining an optional sightseeing tour or spending the rest of the day at leisure.

The optional sightseeing tour will take in the pretty Vieux Port area and the lively Plateau Mont Royal. Montreal combines cutting-edge modernity, French style and flair, and is a cosmopolitan mix of high culture, high fashion and high tech. The waterfront rivals Vancouver’s for glass and steel architectural marvels, and contrasts with the bohemian groove of trendy Plateau Mont Royal and Vieux Montreal.

This evening, step back in time, and dine in Belle Epoque style on our optional Maple Delights dinner excursion.

Day 9 - Return to Montreal Airport

Enjoy some time at leisure in Montreal, perhaps doing some last-minute shopping, before transferring to the airport for your flight home.

Day 10 - Arrive home

Arrive back in the UK, after an overnight flight.
