Day 1 - UK to Atlanta

Upon arrival in Atlanta pick up your car hire, making your way to your chosen hotel. Spending the remainder of your day at leisure.

Day 2 - Atlanta

In Atlanta, enjoy a fun-filled day starting with visits to the remarkable Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola, where you can sample a variety of Coca-Cola beverages from around the globe. Dive into the city’s rich history at the National Centre for Civil and Human Rights, showcasing powerful artifacts from the Civil Rights Movement. In the evening, unwind at a live music event, choosing from the city’s many venues, whether it’s a grand concert hall or a cosy club. Treat yourself to classic comfort food like hash browns and waffles at the iconic Waffle House, an Atlanta staple. Wrap up your day with a refreshing walk through the stunning Atlanta Botanical Garden, featuring a collection of beautifully designed smaller gardens.

Day 3 - Atlanta to Nashville

Your drive begins today, by crossing into Tennessee enjoy a stop in Chattanooga for lunch before arriving in Nashville. Spending the remainder of your day at leisure in Nashville, we recommend visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame here you can learn about the history of country music in Nashville and behind some of your favourite country stars.

Day 4 - Nashville

Nashville is celebrated as the heart of country music, and no trip is complete without a visit to the iconic Bluebird Cafe, where talented local songwriters perform their original works. For a truly memorable experience, make your way to the Grand Ole Opry, the world’s longest-running radio show, featuring performances by both rising stars and legendary country artists.

Another must-see is the Johnny Cash Museum, where you can delve into his life and legacy through an impressive collection of rare artifacts, including historical documents, awards, costumes, and instruments—many of which are displayed for the first time.

Day 5 - Nashville

Day 6 - Nashville to Memphis

From one music city to another your drive today continues to Memphis the birthplace of Rock n Roll. On route to Memphis make a stop at Graceland the home of Elvis here you can learn more about his life and legacy featuring his iconic costumes and famous pink Cadillac. Spending the remainder of your day in Memphis at leisure we recommend visiting Beale Street in the evening perfect for soaking up the music of the city.

Day 7 - Memphis

 A day at leisure to explore Memphis, visit the famous Sun Studios where many artists recorded their hit songs including Elvis.

Day 8 - Memphis to Natchez

Continue your drive through America’s south towards the riverside city of Natchez. En route we recommend visiting the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum in Jackson here you can learn about the history and impact of the Civil Right movement in Mississippi a huge part of the history of the south. Spending the remainder of your day at leisure to explore Natchez.

Day 9 - Natchez

Spend today exploring Natchez the oldest settlement on the Mississippi River.

Day 10 - Natchez to Lafayette

Your drive today continues to Lafayette in Louisiana the birthplace of Tabasco Sauce, make sure to taste some of the authentic Cajun flavour.

Day 11 - Lafayette to New Orleans

Today’s drive takes you to New Orleans a vibrant city filled with a unique blend of cultures, history and music. Wonder round the French Quarter, explore the bars on Bourbon Street or enjoy a trip on a steamboat.

Day 12 - New Orleans

A full day at leisure to experience New Orleans.

Day 13 - New Orleans

Another full day to explore New Orleans.

Day 14 - New Orleans to Mobile

Your drive today continues too Mobile. Spend a full day uncovering the treasures near Mobile. Just a short drive from downtown, visit the elegant Bragg-Mitchell Mansion and Oakleigh House, two beautifully preserved antebellum homes. Explore the stunning Bellingrath Gardens, one of the finest in the South, or step back in time aboard the World War II USS Alabama Battleship. History buffs will also enjoy Historic Blakely State Park, the site of one of the final battles of the American Civil War.

Venture minutes south of Mobile to Bayou La Batre, a charming shrimping village famously featured in Forrest Gump. Continue to scenic Dauphin Island, home to the Alabama Aquarium at Dauphin Island Sea Lab, where you can learn about the Gulf Coast’s vibrant marine life.

Day 15 - Mobile to Montgomery

Montgomery, voted the best historical city in the United States, is deeply tied to pivotal events in American history, from the Civil War to the Civil Rights Movement. It was here that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. lived and preached, Rosa Parks made her courageous stand, Hank Williams played his guitar on the streets, and Jefferson Davis was inaugurated as the President of the Confederate States of America.

The city’s rich history comes alive with attractions all within walking distance of downtown hotels, such as the Civil Rights Memorial Centre, Freedom Rides Museum, Hank Williams Museum, and Rosa Parks Museum. Free public attractions include the Alabama State Capitol, Alabama Museum, and Alabama Artists Gallery. A short drive away, you’ll find even more to explore, including the W. A. Gayle Planetarium, Montgomery Zoo, and the Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum.

Day 16 - Montgomery to Jekyll Island

Driving out of Alabama across to Georgia’s countryside continuing along to Jekyll Island. Filled with beautiful sandy beaches a stunning contrast from your pervious stops, spend the remainder of your day by relaxing along the beachfront.

Day 17 - Jekyll Island

A full day to explore Jekyll Island.

Day 18 - Jekyll Island to Savannah

Continuing along the Georgian coastline to Savannah, a Southern Bell the town of Savannah is filled with cobbled streets and horse drawn carriages.

Day 19 - Savannah

The Historic trolley tour is a great way to see the many beautiful areas of this town and is recommended. Alternatively, you may wish to wander along the riverside or through some of the beautiful squares, strewn with live oaks in the historic quarter.

Day 20 - Savannah

Another full day to explore the delights of Savannah.

Day 21 - Savannah to Atlanta

Today make your drive back to Atlanta for your final night.

Day 22 - Atlanta to UK

Make your way to the airport, returning your car hire before your onward flight home.
