Day 7 - Agra - Delhi

Wake up early for a sunrise visit of the splendid Taj Mahal.

Built as a monument of eternal love, the monument is described by poet Rabindranath Tagore as "a teardrop on the cheek of time". This magnificent 17th century mausoleum was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, as an expression of love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal in the mid-17th century. It is made of milk-white makrana marble and is truly one of the wonders of the world. Though the Taj appears to be amazingly perfect from almost any angle, it is the close-up marble inlay work, which is astounding. Be mesmerized by this outstanding piece of architecture.

Later take a guided visit of the imposing Agra Fort.

The fort is approachable by two imposing gates and constructed of red sandstone, the citadel was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar between the years 1565 and 1573. Encircled by a moat, this dramatic city within a city was the palace of three emperors, Akbar, Shah Jehan and Aurangzeb, each of whom made significant contributions to the wonderful architecture of the inner buildings – a combination of Persian (Islamic) and local Hindu styles.

Later in evening, you will be assisted & transferred in your private car to Agra railway station to connect train to Delhi. (Train not in operation on Fridays)

Arrive Delhi and you will meet with our representative outside your train coach. Depart for your hotel where you will check in for your stay.
