Day 2 - Explore Montreal

Spend today exploring the sights of Montreal, we have put together a few recommendations of winter fun to enjoy in the city.

Explore Mount Royal a mountain the middle of the city, surrounded by a urban green space with 200 hectares of park to explore. During the winter enjoy a variety of activities including snowshoeing treks, enjoy ice skating on the outdoor ice rink or enjoy cross country skiing over 22km ski trails available across the park. Please note activities at Mount Royal should be booked locally.

In the evening visit Basilique Notre Dame De Montreal where a nighttime light show is projected inside the of the church. Tickets for the light show can be booked locally.

Day 3 - Montreal to Quebec City onboard the VIA Rail

This morning make your way to the VIA Rail station for your journey to Quebec City. Following the St. Lawrence River, pass from city suburbs to rural landscapes, forests and rich pastures dotted with tiny villages and maple trees that extend to Quebec City. For the first hour you will notice the rugged Montérégie Hills, including the lush natural oasis of Mont Royal in Montreal. Arrive to Quebec at Gare du Palais and discover how at 400 years old it is the most charming city in Canada, complete with original architecture and buildings have been lovingly preserved.

Day 4 - Old Quebec Winter Walking Tour

Follow your cicerone (guide) off the beaten path and be enticed by the charms of Old Québec, a UNESCO world heritage gem! Historical characters will let you experience 400 years of the city’s captivating past! In addition to the Château Frontenac, the Dufferin Terrace and the Notre-Dame-de-Québec Cathedral Basilica, the tour will also take you to the Petit-Champlain district and Place Royale to admire numerous 17th and 18th century buildings.

Day 6 - Hotel de Glace

Today take the coach transfer from Quebec City out to Hotel de Glace, a hotel made completely of ice. Each year the theme of the hotel changes, enjoy exploring the variety of ice structures around the hotel. Guests have access to enjoy the Nordic Area with hot tubs and spas under the stars. Enjoy dinning at the ice restaurants and bars. In the evening you will be provided with a ultra-comfy artic sleeping bags to enjoy a comfortable nights sleep.

Day 7 - Quebec City to Montreal

This morning depart the Hotel de Glace back to Quebec City on your coach transfer. Upon arrival in Quebec City make your way to the VIA Rail station for your journey to Montreal. Departing from Gare du Palais in Quebec City today, travel through the rugged Montérégie Hills towards Montreal. Pass by tiny villages, rich pastures and forests of maple trees, and watch the landscape transform from rural landscapes to city suburbs as you get closer to your final destination. Crossing the St. Lawrence River you'll arrive to Montreal, the largest city in Canada's Quebec province known for its landmarks like the Notre-Dame Bisilica. The train will pull into Central Station, located in the heart of downtown below the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel.
