Day 1 - Beijing

Upon arrival in Beijing, you will be greeted by a local English-speaking guide and transferred to the hotel. The hotel official check-in time is after 16:00pm in the afternoon. You will visit the Summer Palace directly, the massive garden and summer resort for royal members only during the imperial times. Finally, drive back to the hotel

Day 2 - Beijing & The Great Wall of China

Today, the first stop is the Mutianyu Great Wall, a comparatively less tourist-trodden part of the 1,400-year-old fortification system. The comfortable round-way cable car is arranged for you. Plenty of time will be given for you to climb the wall. In the afternoon, you will explore the Hutongs in depth. The place is packed with nice antique and craft shops, while the most outstanding part here are the well-preserved courtyards. Here you will also visit a local family and learn to make a traditional Chinese Kite. At the end of the day, you will transfer back to the hotel.

Day 3 - Beijing - Xian

This morning you will be led to visit the world-famous Tiananmen Square, the very place where Chairman Mao announced the foundation of China. Passing through Tiananmen, you will reach the royal residence, the Forbidden City. Being one of the cultural symbols of China, the Forbidden City is exquisitely decorated and extremely mysterious with great history and court stories. After that your guide will see you off at the train station. The train ride is about 5 hours. It is high-tech and comfortable. You may enjoy countryside scenery that can’t be seen in the cities. When you arrive in Xi’an, your local guide will meet you and help you check in at the hotel.

Day 4 - Xian & the Terracotta Warriors

This morning your guide will meet you at the hotel and head to the world-renowned Terracotta Warriors and Horses. It is reputed as the largest underground military base in the world. Then, about 1 hour’s driving takes you back to the city of Xi’an, here you will visit the ancient City Wall. Xi’an City Wall is one of the few best-preserved existing City Walls in China. Then spend some time exploring the Muslim Quarter where many delicious local snacks and beautiful souvenirs can be found. Finally, transfer you back to the hotel.

Day 5 - Xian - Shanghai

Your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby. Then you will be transferred to the airport, for the flight to Shanghai, on arrival in Shanghai, the local guide will meet you. You will visit the Tianzifang directly, which has transformed itself from legacy residential architecture and factories into an artsy area housing bars, cafes, craft shops, design studios, galleries and boutiques. The next place is Xintiandi, a new popular business area in Shanghai where you will be able to see the traditional Shanghai buildings with modern interiors. A leisurely walk down the Huangpu River concludes the day perfectly. At the end of the day, transfer back to the hotel.

Day 6 - Shanghai

Begin your tour today with visiting the Shanghai Museum, a good place to learn about the city’s history. After this, you will then pay a visit to the old city area of Shanghai. You will first visit the Yuyuan Garden presenting exquisite examples of gardening. Out of the garden, you will easily enter the old town and free market there. Then spend some quiet time at the Longhua Temple, the oldest temple in Shanghai with a history of over 1,700 years. Take a walk at the French concession area. At the end of the day, transfer back to the hotel.

Day 7 - Shanghai

Today your tour concludes with a transfer to the airport.
