The Bay of Fundy, home to the worlds' highest tides is a 270km long ocean bay that stretches between New Brunswick & Nova Scotia in Atlantic Canada. Day 1 - Arrive in Halifax

Arrive into Halifax pick up your hire car and take the short drive to your downtown hotel. Spend late afternoon/evening at your leisure.

Day 2 - Halifax Sighsteeing

Spend your day sightseeing at Halifax. To help you we have included the 55 minute Harbour Hopper Tour, a fun, fast-paced adventure by land and sea! From your seat aboard this impressive, retrofitted military vehicle, you'll have unparalleled views of Halifax’s most noteworthy sites, beautiful landscape, and historic and modern architecture. Your knowledgeable and very entertaining guide will share historical facts and lesser-known stories about Halifax and will keep you somewhat entertained with the occasional knee-slapper. From the winding streets of Halifax, your adventure continues as you SPLASH into the Halifax Harbour. Your driver is now your Captain, and there’s more to explore so keep your camera ready for unique photo opportunities of our active harbour, Georges Island National Historic Site, the Halifax Waterfront, and more. This award-winning, fully narrated amphibious tour is one you won’t soon forget! Some of our favourite places to visit are Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, which is a national historic site. At Citadel you will get some stunning views over Halifax and it's harbour, cannons and bagpipes still resonate up at Citadel. Another attraction is the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, it has a permanent exhibit for the Titanic.

Day 3 - Explore Peggys Cove & Lunenburg

Pick up your hire car this morning and drive to Mahone Bay for a stroll before continuing to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Make sure you have some seafood here, you will spot the fishermen coming in with their catch! Spend you afternoon at Peggys Cove, explore the rocks and take in one of the most photographed lighthouses in Canada.

Day 4 - Halifax to Shediac (269 kms)

Make your way to Shediac to start your New Brunswick road trip. Shediac is known as the lobster capital of the world! This afternoon and evening stroll through the Corridors of Lights...a special touch to downtown Shediac. There are many fine restaurants serving succulent seafood to tempt your palate, from scallops to Atlantic salmon to lobster of course. And don’t forget to snap a photo with the iconic giant lobster in Shediac!

Day 5 - Shediac Sighsteeing

Take a dip in the finest saltwater beaches in Eastern Canada! With waters peaking at 24 degrees celsius, it's some of the warmest water north of Virginia. Boating, windsurfing, golf and hiking are just a few of the attractions on or near it's pristine, sprawline beaches. We recommend taking in a Bay Cruise of Shediac, sit back and enjoy the Arcadian hospitality, before indulging in a mouth watering lobster feast. Make sure you also take in the Wildabout Wampum Studios, this gem of a workshop and boutique will amaze you!

Day 6 - Shediac to Saint Andrews (273 kms)

There is a lot to see and do along the Fundy route. Today head to The Hopewell Rocks (check out the tides before departing Shediac on the Hopewell Rocks website). This attraction is one of the Marine Wonders of the World, and it is the site of the World's highest tides. Experience tides rising up to 4 storeys high, making it possible to kayak, at high tide, over the same area you may have recently walked at low tides. 100 billions tonnes of seawater gush in and out of the bay twice a day.  After this continue west to Cape Enrage. It has been voted one of the best views in Canada, with views over the Bay of Fundy, from atop the 46m cliffs, you'll see a panoramic view of the entire bay from Apple River to Dorchester to Quaco.  Continue your journey to the iconic seaside escape and charming resort town of St. Andrews by-the-sea.It has long been one of New Brunswick's premier vacation destinations. Located along the Bay of Fundy, this seaside town offers spectacular views, fantastic dining options, incredible whale watching and many other activities.

Day 7 - Saint Andrews

We have included a Whale Watching Tour (you can opt for a morning or afternoon departure). Hop aboard the Jolly Breeze for a whale watching and Tall Ship adventure. Sailing across Passamaquoddy Bay and into the Bay of Fundy, seals, whales and marine birds are often viewed from the wide decks. An ongoing nature and historical interpretation is provided by experienced crew and marine biologists. Cruise guides educate and entertain - active participation in taking the helm or hoisting sails is permitted, and children’s activities are available. The 45 passenger vessel features seating, a licensed cash bar, washrooms, heated lounge, blankets and rain jackets. You may wish to spend the remainder of the day at the Fundy National Park where you will be able to set off on adventure by exploring the hiking trails, discover the richness of the Acadian forest  and connect with the land, ocean and wide-open sky (a designated Dark Sky Preserve). Make your way to Saint John, the city on the Bay of Fundy which offers delightful port architecture against a perfect backdrop to the market square, where you can stroll along and watch the cruise ships dock at the harbour, taking in fine restaurants and shops along the way. View the famous Reversing Rapids as the tides of the Bay of Fundy actually force the waters at the mouth of the St John River to reverse its flow.

Day 8 - Saint Andrews Exploring

Day at leisure to relax or continue to explore St Andrews and the stunning surround area. There is so much on offer in Saint Andrews - visit Kingsbrae Gardens, visit Ministers Island or even do a day trip from Saint Andrews to Deer Island (one of the Fundy Isles) where you can truly relax with a kayaking experience.

Day 9 - Saint Andrews to Saint John (107km / 66mls)

Traverse from Saint Andrews to Saint John, the city on the Bay of Fundy which offers delightful port architecture against a perfect backdrop to the market square, where you can stroll along and watch the cruise ships dock at the harbour, taking in fine restaurants and shops along the way. View the famous Reversing Rapids as the tides of the Bay of Fundy actually force the waters at the mouth of the St John River to reverse its flow.

Day 10 - Saint John

Spend your day at leisure. Take in Saint John City Market, the oldest continuing Farmer’s market in North America or even visit - New Brunswick Museum. You may even wish to sample delicious local beers, wines, ciders and spirits during a tasting tour around the city that includes visits to art and craft studios, farmer’s markets, and artisanal food producers around the Lower River Valley.

Day 11 - Saint John to Annapolis

This morning you have your ferry from Saint John over to Nova Scotia (included) this takes approx 2hr 30mins. Take advantage of the outdoor seating and viewing area to feel the wind in your face and search the Bay of Fundy for sightings of whales and other sea life.  Once you dismbark make your way Annapolis Royal, a quaint settlement housing Victorian mansions on the banks of the Bay of Fundy (approx 30 minute drive).

Day 12 - Annapolis Royal Exploring

If you love design - houses, gardens, art, crafts, vintage and antiques, Annapolis Royal is for you. With over 130 registered heritage properties it is one of the largest National Historic Districts in Canada. Today is yours to explore at your leisure.

Day 13 - Annapolis Royal to Wolfville (109km / 68mls)

Depart for Wolfville and be sure to make time to stop at the Grand-Pré National Historic Site, commemorating the Grand-Pré area as a centre of Acadian settlement from 1682 to 1755 and the Deportation of the Acadians, which began in 1755 and continued until 1762. Also the Domaine de Grand Pré is a fantastic winery in the area well worth a visit.
