Western Canada Iconic Sites An Escorted Tour and Cruise

Day 1 - UK to Vancouver

Fly from the UK to Vancouver transfering to your downtown hotel.

Day 2 - Vancouver to Whistler

Transfer from your Vancouver hotel to Canada Place to join the group tour for your departure at 9am. You will begin by making your way along the Sea to Sky Highway. This is a short 2-hour drive with many fantastic sightseeing options, including Shannon Falls, Brandywine Falls and the town of Squamish before arriving in Whistler. There is a multitude of activities you can partake in and around Whistler.

Day 3 - Whistler to Clearwater

This morning check out of your Whistler hotel for your journey to Clearwater, taking the scenic route driving through Pemberton and Lillooet.

Today enjoy an Indgenious Experience with Xwisten Experience Tours. Visit the Bridge River Fishing Grounds, the past and current fishing area of the St'át'imc People. Learn about the traditional wind-dried method of preserving the salmon still used by its people today.After the tour, partake in a Salmon BBQ, complete with salmon, rice, salad, and bannock. Dessert is a traditional dish of whipped berries (sxúsum).

Checking into your Clearwater hotel in the evening, with the option to do a canoe tour or evening at lesuire.

Day 4 - Clearwater to Jasper

After breakfast check out of your Clearwater hotel for your journey to Jasper. On route enjoy time to explore Wells Grey Provincial Park and take in the views at Helmcken Falls and Spahats Falls. As you begin to drive into Jasper you will get a glimpse of Mount Robson the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. 

In the evening arrive into Jasper with the option to visit the Jasper Planetarium or at lesuire.

Day 5 - Explore Jasper

Enjoy a tour of Jasper, visiting Maligne Canyon enjoy walking along the scenic bridges and trails see ancient fossils in rock, and many waterfalls. Visit Maligne Lake which is famous for the colour of its azure water, the surrounding peaks, the three glaciers visible from the lake, and Spirit Island, a frequently and very famously photographed islet, option to take a boat cruise to Spirit Island (additional cost).   

Free time in the afternoon to explore Jasper.

Day 6 - Jasper to Banff via Icefields Parkway

Your drive from Jasper to Banff will take you along the Icefields Parkway with a stop at Athabasca Glacier to enjoy the Glacier Skywalk and Ice Explorer. Arriving into Banff in the evening.

Day 7 - Banff

Start your day with a journey on the Banff Gondola. Afterwards enjoy a guided tour of Banff with stops at Bow Falls, HooDoos, The Fairmont Banff Spings and more. Spending the rest of your day at lesuire.

Day 8 - Lake Louise & Kelowna

Today is lake day! Explore the beautiful Lake Louise and Moraine Lake the two most photographed lakes in Canada. Staying over night in downtown Kelowna.

Day 9 - Kelowna to Vancouver

Today is the last leg of the trip as you head back to Vancouver. Visit one of the famous wineries before departing Kelowna. Returning to Vancouver at approximately 7:30pm, transfering to your Vancouver hotel.

Day 10 - Alaska Cruise

Today transfer to Canada Place to board your fantastic 7-night Celebrity Alaska Cruise onboard Celebrity Solstice.

Day 11 - Cruise the Inside Passage

Today cruise one of the most scenic sea-lanes in the world - the Inside Passage - where ships can sail close to steep mountain walls, offering magnificent views of the unbelievable scenery from forests to evocative towns.

Day 12 - Icy Strait Point

For thousands of years, the Tlingit Indians have called this place home. Located just 22 miles southeast of Glacier Bay National Park, Icy Strait Point offers travellers the chance to view an enormous variety of wildlife including humpback whales, eagles, and brown bears, or explore monuments to the region’s fishing heritage.

Day 13 - Hubbard Glacier

Hubbard Glacier is the largest calving glacier on the North American continent. The glacier routinely calves off icebergs as high as 10-storey buildings, sending massive blocks of ice into the sea every few minutes.

Day 14 - Juneau

Juneau, the capital of Alaska, has an air of mystique – a town you cannot reach by road, you need to fly or come by sea! Juneau delights with an abundance of water, forests and mountains. Situated between the Coast Mountains and the Gastineau Channel, Juneau offers a lot of variety, with the immense Mendenhall Glacier and the Juneau Icefields at its back door and the Tongass National Forest stretching out to the northeast. Juneau offers a variety of activities from shopping downtown to dogsledging, hiking, whale-watching and so much more.

Day 15 - Ketchikan

You've never tasted salmon so fresh. Known as the 'Salmon Capital of the World', Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit people, who have carved the world's largest collection of totem poles. If you're up for an adventure, take a canoe and nature trail excursion through the rain forest or a wilderness exploration followed by a sumptuous crab feast you'll long remember.

Day 16 - Cruise the Inside Passage

Cruise back along the Inside Passage and take in the breath-taking wilderness coastline, with snow capped mountain peaks, glaciers, and rain forests. You may see whales, eagles, sea lions, sea otters, and mountain sheep.

Day 17 - Arrive in Vancouver

Depart your Celebrity Cruise and transfer to Vancouver airport for your onward flight.
