Located on private 160 acres, just 20 minutes south of Whitehorse, built from massive Douglas Fir by your German-Canadian hosts, this little piece of paradise is located in a quiet open countryside close to the Yukon River, surrounded by pine forests and ringed by mountains. The log cabins are modern and lovingly designed.
Enjoy a quiet and comfortable place where guests are asked to take their shoes off and make themselves at home. After a day of adventure and outdoor activity, relax in the luxury outdoor Jacuzzi or in the spa/wellness area featuring a Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, gym & relax room and a massage room. Enjoy the magic Winter Wonderland and the spectacular views of the Northern Lights. The open area surrounding the lodge allows un-obscured views of the soaring Aurora Borealis!
Yukon Winter Adventure includes:
- 4 nights at Northern Lights Hotel & Spa
- Arrival and departure transfer from/to Whitehorse Airport or downtown location (between 4 am to 6 pm)
- Return flights between Vancouver and Whitehorse
- Healthy European style breakfasts and three-course dinners
- Nightly guided Aurora Viewing and photography assistance, English speaking guides
- Use of resort facilities, including: lounge, sauna, trails, snowshoes, WiFi
- Guided city tour of Whitehorse
- Guided half day dogledding or half day snowmobile tour
Day 1 - Vancouver to Whitehorse & Evening Aurora Viewing
Get ready to depart from Vancouver South Terminal for your short flight to Whitehorse. Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to Northern Lights Resort & Spa for check-in. This afternoon, take your time to familiarize yourself with the lodge by using the resort facilities such as the sauna, spa, or lounge area. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also grab some snowshoes and enjoy a self-guided hike. After dinner, bundle up in warm winter clothes and take part in an evening of guided Aurora viewing. You will have access to professional photography assistance throughout all Aurora viewing tours. (dinner included today)

Day 2 - Dogsledding or Snowmobile tour & Aurora Viewing
After a hearty breakfast, choose to spend your day on one of two excursions: Option 1. Half Day Dogsledding Excursion Here you’ll watch your guide harnessing your dogs and hitching them to the sled. The highlight of this excursion will be running your own dog team. Option 2. Half Day Snowmobile Excursion After safety instructions and a trial run with your instructor, drive your own snowmobile over prepared trails through the incredible winter landscape of the Yukon. After dinner, you will once again take part in an evening of guided Aurora viewing (breakfast, lunch and dinner included today).

Day 3 - Day At Leisure & Evening Aurora Viewing
Today you’ll have the chance to relax in the lodge, taking advantage of the jacuzzi and sauna, or grab a pair of snowshoes for a self-guided hike. After dinner, take part in a final evening of guided Aurora viewing (breakfast, lunch and dinner included today).

Day 4 - Day at leisure & Evening Aurora Viewing
Breakfast at the lodge.The morning is at your leisure or you can plan an optional day tour (need to be booked in advance). This evening you have your final Aurora Viewing.

Day 5 - Transfer To Whitehorse Airport for flight to Vancouver
After breakfast this morning, check out and take some time at the lodge for one last spa treatment. After lunch, transfer back to Whitehorse airport to board your flight back to Vancouver (breakfast and lunch included today).
