Blue Door Smokehouse
Blue Door Smokehouse was started in March of 2013 by two Lexington natives, Jeff Newman and Jon Rigsby. They had a simple goal of producing the best barbeque in the city and coupling that with warm, friendly, fun, and efficient service. For them, consistency is key, and they work hard every day to ensure that their product is the same high quality as it was on your last visit. Over the years, they have grown from just one employee to five, which is a lot for a tiny space! If they don't know your name by now, they certainly will soon. These years of business have brought so much happiness and they hope to see excististing and new customers for many more years to come. They look forward to seeing you soon!

Raven Run Nature Sanctuary
Everyone who visits Raven Run must first sign-in at the nature center, located at the beginning of the trail system. There are many unique displays and a variety of 'hands-on' exhibits. Pamphlets about birds, mammals, ferns, history, and other aspects of the sanctuary are available in the nature center. Restrooms are also available behind the nature center.
Raven Run is a unique, 734-acre nature sanctuary dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of the Kentucky River Palisades and early Kentucky history. The sanctuary is a city of Lexington park and is thus accessed free of charge. Over 10 miles of hiking trails provide access to streams, meadows, and woodlands characteristic of the area. Numerous 19th century remnants of early settlers, as well as over 600 species of plants, allow visitors to become acquainted with and appreciate the natural world. Raven Run also accommodates over 200 species of birds throughout the year. To protect the flora and fauna of the sanctuary, activities are limited to the trail system. Visitors are asked to hike only on marked trails. Regulations have been set up for visitor safety, as well as for the protection of the sanctuary.

Aviation Museum
The Aviation Museum of Kentucky is an asset to the state, the industry, and the nation. Their programs increase and improve every year. Volunteers are enthusiastic, the board is involved, membership is supportive, and staff make good use of the Museum's limited resources. The Museum's building at Blue Grass Field is a former FBO hangar; it was never designed for use that a Museum would expect to see. It was built before ADA codes were established, so it offers only limited access to the disabled. Most importantly, the museum has outgrown its display space, office space, and storage space. It is not good business to retrofit a 40-year-old building into something it was never meant to be, so those involved with the museum are raising funds for a new, custom-designed facility. The new Aviation Museum of Kentucky will be built in WestLex area of Blue Grass Airport and will meet the needs of those thousands whose lives are enriched through aviation.
The mission of the museum extends across the entire educational spectrum, not just to career counseling. The changing exhibits attract students to Lexington's Blue Grass Airport each year. Visitors learn about the science of flight and its history. They learn how Kentucky has helped shape the field that has so shaped the world. Aviation gives meaning and purpose to the study of math, physics, biology, geography, and more. Academically, studying flight supports and strengthens a wide variety of classroom subjects.

Lexington Cemetery
The Lexington Cemetery is more than a pleasant cemetery. Many consider the grounds to be beautiful in their own right. Those overseeing the cemetery's condition are proud of this, and take seriously the responsibility of maintaining its artistic and natural beauty; that’s why it is insisted upon to set aside sixty percent of the cost of a burial site for perpetual care. It’s one part of the cemetery's commitment to keeping the Lexington Cemetery as beautiful and affordable in the future as it is today.
